CEO, ERTICO – ITS Europe
Mayor of Seville
Provincial Head of Traffic of Seville, Coordinator for Andalusia Region in the General Directorate of Traffic
Chairman, ITS Spain
“The General Directorate of Traffic, DGT, is an autonomous organization of the General Administration of State in Spain. Its mission is to develop actions aimed at improving the behavior and training of road users, and the safety and fluidity of circulation of vehicles and the provision to citizens of all administrative services. For more than 4 decades, the DGT has been a pioneer in deployment of ITS, which, accompanied by a great investment and management effort, has led to the consolidation of the “DGT Model” of international reference. During the ITS European Congress in Seville, attendees will have the opportunity to know about our reality and we will be able to share with them our experience in the use of ITS to save lives, reduce pollution and traffic jams.”
“It is a great honour that ERTICO has set its eyes on Seville to organise the 16th ITS European Congress and therefore turn the city into the capital of Sustainable Mobility. I wish all participants a very successful meeting and that they can also see first-hand the great advances that Seville is making in terms of mobility.”
