Through dedicated adaptability and in close collaboration, ERTICO-ITS Europe, the Seville City Council, the Ministry of Transports and Sustainable Mobility, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), the Junta de Andalucía, and ITS Spain, confirms new dates for the 16th ITS European Congress. The event will now take place from 19 to 21 May 2025.
This announcement, presented in conjunction with the Open Day organised on Tuesday 15 October, follows the selection of Seville and Fibes Conference Center to host the 4th International Conference of the United Nations on Financing for Development (FfD). Scheduled from 30 June to 3 July 2025, this high-profile event, organised by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and supported by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), will convene Heads of State, Government officials, and key Ministers to address new and emerging challenges in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support the global financial architecture reform. With the venue reserved for their preparatory activities from mid-May, the host committee took a diligent approach, collaborating with the UN organisers to ensure an adequate adjustment of the confirmed dates to host the Congress, 19 – 21 May 2025.
In light of this unique change, the Congress theme ‘Clean, Resilient, and Connected Mobility’ marks an important reflection of the principles – resilience and adaptability – demonstrating how challenges can be transformed into opportunities and further strengthening the close cooperation between ERTICO, the City of Seville, the Spanish national and local authorities, as well as all local and national stakeholders across the wider network of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
In May 2025, the ITS European Congress will bring together thought leaders, experts and innovators in intelligent transport and mobility, reinforcing the emphasis on collaboration and flexibility. This adjustment also reaffirms the joint commitment of delivering a dynamic and impactful event. Together in Seville, we will pave the way for a smarter, more resilient and sustainable mobility future.
With the new dates confirmed, ERTICO, with support of its Supervisory Board and Partners, is looking forward to welcoming you to Seville, offering participants numerous insightful high-level discussions, a myriad of networking opportunities, and an exceptional showcase of cutting-edge technologies and innovations in the exhibition that will help shape a more sustainable and connected mobility future for all.
