Organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe, hosted by City of Seville and supported by the Spanish Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, the Directorate General for Traffic, Andalusian Government, and ITS Spain, this Congress will focus on ‘Clean, Resilient, and Connected Mobility’. We bring together expertise from across Europe and beyond to the beautiful Spanish city of Seville to discuss clean, resilient and connected mobility.
The theme “Clean, Resilient, and Connected Mobility” addresses the pressing need for transport solutions that are sustainable, adaptable, and technologically integrated. As cities grow and demands increase, the importance of a cleaner environment, adaptability to disruptions, and seamless connectivity becomes evident. This theme aims to transform transport systems to meet both current and future challenges.
Clean Mobility emphasizes the need for reducing emissions and adopting greener technologies, such as electric vehicles and low-emission zones, as seen in Seville’s initiatives like the Renault ReFactory.
Resilient Mobility focuses on building adaptable systems that can withstand environmental, social, or technological disruptions. Seville’s robust transport network, including the Andalusian Transport Consortium, demonstrates the value of resilience in urban mobility.
Connected Mobility is about using technology to create seamless and efficient transport systems. Innovations like Cooperative Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and the DGT 3.0 connected vehicle platform are key examples of how technology is enhancing safety and efficiency.
